How to Take Public Transport for a quarter of Journeys
Shared transport is up to 10 times more efficient than travelling in a car. Currently, only 13% of journeys over 5 miles are by public transport. Taking public transport over a car for a 20 mile commute will save 2.8kg carbon. Choose a train, coach or bus as opposed to travelling by car, and use a bike or walk to reach to those modes of transport.
Try this out for one journey, enjoy the benefits of working on that mode of transport and then travel more by that mode of transport - after all, we do tend to travel the same journeys over and over again.
