How to Install Loft Insulation
Insulating lofts, attics, or flat roofs is the most effective way to reduce heat loss and lower our heating bills. It helps prevent heat from escaping as it rises from our homes. In most attics, insulation can be laid between and over the joists. However, when dealing with an attic room, it's advisable to hire a professional to install insulation between the timbers that form the roof. For a flat roof, insulation can also be placed between the wooden joists, or one might opt to install an insulated roof.
When installing loft insulation, we have the choice of learning how to do it ourselves through proper research, or we can invite contractors (ideally three) to provide quotes.
